Sometimes Christians know that they ought to pray, but they do not know how to being or know what they ought to be praying. Here is a suggestion: Begin by being thankful for the following spiritual blessings and privileges.
1. God’s presence
We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near. (Psalm 75:1)
2. God’s provision.
And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat. (Acts 27:35)
3. God’s pardon
But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. (Romans 6:17-18)
4. God’s promise
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)
5. God’s purpose
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
